Privacy Policy

DonorOps is a nonprofit donor operating system built on licensed WUN technology. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@donorops.com.

Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to the donorops.com website, client onboarding, and services operated by DonorOps LLC.

DonorOps LLC operates the donorops.com site and GTM operations. Under our licensing and joint operating structure, WUN (a DBA of Violetek LLC) provides and maintains the underlying platform technology.

This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit this site, contact us, become a client, or use a DonorOps service environment we provide to you.

Information we collect

We keep collection limited to what is reasonably needed to operate the business, deliver services, manage accounts, and handle billing.

Information you provide directly

This may include your name, nonprofit organization name, email address, phone number, pipeline details, billing contacts, and any messages, instructions, or donor records you choose to share with us.

Information collected automatically

We may collect standard technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device information, approximate location, pages viewed, referral source, timestamps, and service logs needed for security, diagnostics, and analytics.

How we use information

We use information to operate the site, support development officers, and deliver the services you ask us to provide.

Sales and client operations

We use information to respond to inquiries, qualify opportunities, manage client relationships, onboard accounts, and communicate about services.

Service delivery

We use information to configure workflows, support managed systems, review issues, monitor performance, improve reliability, and provide customer support.

Billing and protection

We use information to issue invoices, process payments, detect fraud or misuse, enforce our terms, comply with legal obligations, and protect our systems, clients, and business.

Service providers and disclosures

We do not sell personal information. We share information only when needed to run the business, deliver services, or comply with law.

Depending on the service, we may share information with service providers that support hosting and infrastructure, communications, productivity tools, billing, customer relationship management, and AI functionality. Current providers may include Amazon Web Services, Google Workspace, HubSpot, Stripe, and OpenAI.

We also share operational information with our platform partner, Violetek LLC (operating as WUN), to facilitate service maintenance, system performance reviews, and product improvements. We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce agreements, protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

Cookies, analytics, and retention

We use a practical retention approach rather than keeping information indefinitely.

Cookies and similar tools

We may use cookies or similar technologies for session management, security, and analytics. If analytics tools are enabled, they help us understand site usage and improve the experience.

Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to run the service, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, or security obligations.

Your choices and rights

Your rights depend on where you are located, but we will review reasonable requests in good faith.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and operational limitations. You may also ask us to stop non-essential communications.

To make a privacy request, contact hello@donorops.com. We may need to verify your identity before taking action on a request.

Security, international use, and children

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.

DonorOps is operated from the United States. If you use the site or services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our providers operate.

Our services are intended for businesses and professional use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date on this page and may provide notice when appropriate.
